We are not just a travel agency. We are a family of Sherpas, climbers, and dreamers sharing our home with the world.
Trek Hopper was not built in a boardroom. It was built on a conviction. We are a small team based in Thamel, Kathmandu — guides, a founder, and a handful of people who grew up in and around these mountains and decided that the way Nepal was being shown to the world could be done with a great deal more care. That conviction is what brought Trek Hopper into existence in 2021, and it is what drives every journey we put together today.
We had all seen the same pattern play out too many times. Travelers arriving in Kathmandu full of genuine wonder, handed off to agencies that treated them like seat numbers, guided by people who had never been personally known by anyone accountable for the outcome. Nepal is one of the most extraordinary places on earth. It deserved better than that. So did the people coming here to experience it.
What we built instead is deliberately small. We do not scale by adding volume. We scale by going deeper — knowing our routes, knowing our guides, and knowing our guests well enough to design something that actually fits the person in front of us rather than the template in a catalogue. Every guide who travels with a Trek Hopper guest has been personally walked alongside, observed under real conditions, and trusted with our own journeys before they are trusted with yours. That is not a standard we inherited. It is one we set for ourselves from the beginning.
We remember a traveler who arrived in Kathmandu quietly doubting herself. She had booked the trek on impulse, she told us, and the doubt had found her somewhere between clicking confirm and landing at Tribhuvan. By the third morning on the trail, standing at a ridgeline as the sun broke across the peaks, she had nothing to say. She did not need to. That moment — quiet, unrepeatable, belonging entirely to her — is the reason we do this work. It does not come from a package. It comes from putting the right person with the right team on the right route with enough space and enough attention to let the mountain do what it has always done. We are based in Thamel and we are easy to reach. If you are trying to decide whether Nepal is right for you, which route makes sense for your fitness and your time, or simply whether you are ready — write to us. We will give you an honest answer, not a sales pitch. These mountains have been generous to us. Helping you experience them is how we pass that generosity forward.

The mountain is not a stadium. It is a cathedral.
